This year’s MTV Music Award Show was lit for one reason and one reason only! Missy Elliot performing some of her earlier hits such as Rain, Work it, Loose Control, Get Ur Freak on and her newest single “Throw it Back” from her new EP “ICONOLOGY” which includes 5 songs.
Missy Elliot representing the 757 VA, a product from Manor High School (now Woodrow Wilson High School) has came a long ways in her music career and now the winner of the 2019 Micheal Jackson Video Vanguard Award, she is definitely representing in the Hip Hop industry with Timberland and Magoo by her side every step of the way. And lets not forget Aaliyah which has been a big influencer in Missy’s life.
Her performance opened up with her new single “Throw It Back” in the sense of “I Can’t Stand the Rain” wear. Then Missy came from out the sky like a big cloud performing “The Rain” Now how can we forget her classic “Pass the Dutch” in a scare crow-like atmosphere with kids dancing with the others showing off their skills.
Each one of Missy’s song has that uniqueness to it just like in her early 90’s videos. Who can ever forget this live performance this year?
